These books don't need to be your favorite to have made a difference in your life. For me, what I want is fans to whom I can say a line from a book and the image of the character enters their head and they smile, maybe bust out laughing. "Yeah, that was a good one." they say and I know I've done my job well. Not flawlessly, not epically, just notable enough to change one more person's viewpoint in a positive direction. It's what twenty or so authors did for me and hold a place in my heart for doing it.
